Beta V1  ·  Effective: 2 July 2026  ·  Last updated: 2 July 2026

01Introduction & scope

Zerione ("Zerione," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps businesses and individuals understand, manage, and govern their agreements ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors of our website and users of the Service worldwide.

We have designed this policy to align with major privacy frameworks, including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable laws in other jurisdictions. Where local law grants you greater rights, those rights apply.

02Who we are

Zerione is the entity responsible for your information collected through the Service. For the purposes of the GDPR, Zerione acts as a data controller for account and website data, and as a data processor for the agreement content you upload and process through the Service on your own behalf.

Our registered entity details and data protection contact are provided in the Contact section. Zerione is currently operating in beta. Until our operating entity is formally incorporated, questions regarding this Privacy Policy may be directed to the contact details provided below. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect our registered entity information once available.

04How we use information

05Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

06AI processing & your agreements

We process the agreements and content you upload solely to provide the Service to you, including analyzing, organizing, explaining, comparing, tracking, and managing your agreements. We do not use Your Content to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning models, whether foundational or otherwise, without your separate, explicit written consent.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to read and analyze the content you provide. Outputs are generated to assist your understanding and decisions. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are intended to support, not replace, human judgment and professional advice. Certain processing may be carried out by trusted AI infrastructure providers acting as our sub-processors under contractual confidentiality and security obligations (see Service providers).

Where AI-generated outputs are presented, Zerione is designed to provide explainable results by linking insights back to the underlying agreement wherever possible. AI-generated outputs are intended to assist users and should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person before relying on them for legal, commercial, or regulatory decisions.

07Payments

When you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by third-party payment providers (for example, Stripe and similar providers). These providers collect and process your payment information directly under their own privacy policies and security standards. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. We may retain limited billing records (such as transaction identifiers, the last four digits of a card, billing name, and country) for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes.

08Service providers & sub-processors

We work with carefully selected service providers who process information on our behalf under contractual data-protection obligations. These typically include providers of cloud hosting and storage, databases, AI processing, payment processing, email delivery, and product analytics. We require each to maintain appropriate security and to use your information only to provide services to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

09International data transfers

We operate globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, to protect your information consistent with this policy and applicable law.

10Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete agreement content and request closure of your account at any time, after which we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

11Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

12Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

For California residents, you have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service and, with your consent where required, to understand usage and improve the experience. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie preferences we provide.

14Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 (or the minimum age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users before the changes become effective. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
